Card layouts break when in a scrollable element. Does anyone have any workarounds?

I’ve opened up the issue in github: Card layouts break and overlap when in a container of a constrained size and expanded · Issue #7805 · holoviz/panel · GitHub
But I’m curious if anyone has encountered this and hacked their way around it.

Minimal example:

import panel as pn

card1 = pn.layout.Card(pn.pane.Markdown("""

"""), title="Card 1")

card2 = pn.layout.Card(pn.pane.Markdown("""
In a world where technology and nature coexist,
the balance between innovation and preservation becomes crucial.
As we advance into the future, we must remember the lessons of the past,
embracing sustainable practices that honor our planet.
Together, we can forge a path that respects both progress and the environment,
ensuring a brighter tomorrow for generations to come.
"""), title="Card 2")

pn.Column(card1, card2, height=200).servable()

Perhaps adding scroll='y-auto'

import panel as pn

pn.extension()

card1 = pn.layout.Card(pn.pane.Markdown("""

"""), title="Card 1", scroll="y-auto")

card2 = pn.layout.Card(pn.pane.Markdown("""

the balance between innovation and preservation becomes crucial.

As we advance into the future, we must remember the lessons of the past,

embracing sustainable practices that honor our planet.

Together, we can forge a path that respects both progress and the environment,

ensuring a brighter tomorrow for generations to come.

"""), title="Card 2", scroll="y-auto")

pn.Column(card1, card2, height=200, styles={'overflow': 'auto'}).show()

Thanks, Andrew. I replied to you on the gh post - but if anyone is interested, a possible temp solution is to use flex: 0 0 auto or flex: none on the cards.
