Do Templates work in notebooks?

When I try to load a template in notebook, I get this:

Hi @ahuang11.

I’ve also experienced that the new templates do not work in the notebook. If you think this is important (as I do) please report this either as a new bug or if the problem is the same as I experience by upvoting my bug report here https://github.com/holoviz/panel/issues/1794.
