It looks like several of the tiles indicated when I use the “dir(gv.tile_sources)” are not available. Is there a bathymetry tile that would improve on the resolution available in “ESRI” or “EsriTerrain” to make maps in the Bransfield Strait near Antarctica?
@daxsoule, to answer your question first, probably the best solution would be to add your own bathymetry as an overlay.
Regarding the issue you raised, I’m not sure what was going wrong when we were looking at this yesterday on your system: I tried reproducing on my system and EsriOceanReference is there and working. Check out this notebook which tests all the GeoViews tile sources.
Maybe compare your package versions to those in my notebook?
