The hvPlot online reference gallery for “Area” does not describe how to show tooltips upon mouse hovering on the curves that make up an area.
Is it possible to show the low and high values on the tooltips when mouse hovering?

At the moment unfortunately not. See Tooltips not working in area reference · Issue #875 · holoviz/hvplot (github.com).
Please go an upvote this issue if you think its important to fix. (I think it is :-))
