ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'panel.util' when importing panel

I get

ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'panel.util'

with

import panel as pn

in VSCode. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling panel but it doesn’t help. I have no idea what to do.

Do you have a file called panel.py?

Not any I know of.

This is happening in VSCode Jupyter extension cell.
