How to create custom hover info

i would like to have some attribute info displayed only when hovered to a point (and box/polygon if possible), furthermore it would be great to shade the box/polygon area when hover is taking effect.

Definitely! We’re in the process of replacing the gitter links on each project to point to discourse instead. One of many things on our to-do list!
